Learn why ballast blocks are a great choice when installing a mounted solar power system

Have you thought about using concrete ballast blocks for your project? Designing and constructing a ballasted solar mounting system can often be a complicated process, with numerous factors to consider such as wind, position and roof type.

At JP Concrete, we supply a range of ballast blocks which can be installed on a permanent basis, or as a solution for short-term projects. Concrete ballast blocks are a reliable, durable and long-lasting product that are the perfect solution for creating a ballasted solar mounting system.

To help you decide whether this is the right solution for you, we have put together some further information and aim to answer some of your frequently asked questions.

Why should I use ballast blocks for my project?

Choosing to use our precast concrete ballast blocks for your solar panel project can provide you with added flexibility. Ballast blocks can be used on flat commercial-style roofs, where it is not possible to penetrate the roof surface, and are simpler to install than penetrating systems. The blocks can be attached to the mounting to firmly hold the array in place to either the ground or roof to prevent movement.

Minimal site excavation is required and little preparation is needed for the placement of blocks, saving you valuable time. They are quick and simple to install and can be moved easily using a forklift. The blocks can also be moved or reused at a later date, and can be recycled if necessary.

What are the benefits of using JP Concrete ballast blocks?
