The material storage bays were constructed on top of a new reinforced concrete floor slab, so the bay walls had to be capable of retaining the material without the need for fixing. Five storage bays were required to store various materials, the dimensions of the bays were approximately 4.8m wide x 3.6m deep x 2m high. Several products were considered for the push walls including precast Lego blocks, but the decision was made by the client that the freestanding retaining wall unit, would be the preferred solution. Installation was carried out using our all-terrain Moffett, which is ideal for this type of project, where an agile and manoeuvrable installation vehicle is needed when working close to a perimeter wall.
