Concrete Barriers
Our precast concrete barriers provide a fast and effective solution to protect properties, unoccupied buildings, private land, industrial estates and construction sites. We manufacture a range of barrier sizes, including the 2.5m long concrete jersey barrier and have the option to hire or purchase directly from us.
We can provide a flexible, cost-effective security solution for your needs, including Nationwide delivery and off-load and installation service.
Our concrete security barriers are available in four lengths, making it easy to provide protection for openings of all sizes.
- 1.5m
- 2.5m
- 3.0m
The 2.5m long concrete jersey barriers have tongue and groove interlocking profiles on the end of the barriers, the 3.0m safety barriers interlock and can also be bolted together to make a more robust and semi-permanent protective blockade for traffic management. Their profile is similar to a TVCB - temporary vertical concrete barriers, however, our barriers have not been crash-tested, so are not suitable to use on highways.
For added security, 2.4m high steel fencing panels can be mounted onto the 3m barriers, using a proprietary system, they can also be used for ballast for hoarding. Concrete safety barriers can be painted in the Department for Transport style chevrons or company branded colours & Logos.
What is the Weight of a Concrete Barrier?
Our range of precast concrete barriers gives you the flexibility of choosing a barrier length to suit the size of the opening that requires protection. The other advantage of having a range of sizes to choose from is that you can select a barrier to suit the lift capacity of your machine on site. This is especially useful if you need to move the barriers to allow plant and machinery access to the site.
- 1.5m = 1460kg
- 2.5m = 1300kg
- 3.0m = 2480kg
Concrete Barrier Hire
For short term access control or site protection, we also offer a flexible, nationwide, concrete barrier hire service, giving you the option to buy or hire. Our transport team can arrange for delivery and installation of the barriers to any location.
Installation of the concrete security blocks is typically carried out using either a HIAB vehicle or using our all-terrain vehicle-mounted fork-lift. Our off-load service also includes bolting the blocks together and installing the steel fence panels to the blocks.
Please note that our concrete barriers have not been crash-tested and therefore are not suitable for being used as a vehicle crash barrier, however, TVCB barriers are available on request. If you are not sure what size barrier would best suit your project, speak to our product experts, who will be able to advise on the most cost-effective product.
As with all our products, we offer a design and installation service for the precast concrete barrier blocks, contact us for more information.
