Concrete Ballast And Kentledge Block Hire

At JP Concrete, we’ve had a lot of enquiries about our concrete ballast (or kentledge) blocks. But many people only need them for a short time and aren’t sure what to do with them once their project has been completed. As a result, we’ve decided to start offering our kentledge blocks for hire across the UK. Concrete ballast and kentledge block hire can often be a much more cost-effective option, depending on your project.

When working on scaffolding projects, builders often rely on precast kentledge blocks to act as a counterweight or ballast for the structure. The blocks can also have wire ropes attached to be attached to the scaffolding, providing enhanced stability and safety.

Of course, different types of scaffolding projects will require different numbers and sizes of kentledge blocks. If your project could benefit from hiring our precast concrete ballast blocks, please feel free to call us on 01273 646 450 or contact us through our website. We’d be happy to run through the options with you.

Temporary Hoarding

During construction projects, temporary fencing is often used to store building materials and other items to keep them safe. However, many builders would agree that using precast concrete products to build construction hoarding is a far safer bet, not to mention more weather resistant.

We offer standard block sizes (details of which can be found here) and these are supplied with lifting loops for ease of use. Depending on your project, we can deliver the kentledge blocks on a craned vehicle and help out with the construction, or we can deliver them on a flatbed vehicle for you to offload yourself on site.

Concrete barriers

As well as offering our concrete ballast blocks for hire, we also hire out our concrete barriers which lend themselves perfectly to creating roadblocks, keeping unwanted visitors off areas of restricted land or for creating site security. Again, these can be delivered and offloaded for you and we offer flexible hire contracts from 1 week to a year.

When the barriers are no longer needed, you can simply give us a call and we’ll come and collect them. You don’t even have to be on site when we pick up the barriers.
