Why choose bespoke precast with us?

When standard products don’t fit, we design and manufacture customised precast concrete that does. From structural elements to architectural features, our team value-engineers every component for strength, speed, and a clean, precise finish on site.

  • Custom product design – built to your geometry, loads, exposure class, and tolerance.
  • Structural analysis & value engineering – optimise thickness, reinforcement, and lifting to reduce time and costs.
  • Precision mould fabrication – steel or timber moulds for consistency and architectural quality.
  • Turn-key delivery – design, manufacture, QA, delivery, and installation guidance from a single partner.
  • Sustainability options – reduced-carbon mixes and long design life, engineered for reuse or easy recycling.

What we make (and tailor every time)

We manufacture a wide range of custom and non-standard precast. Recent project types include:
  • Bridge parapets & copings
  • Wing walls and curved retaining walls
  • Blast walls and acoustic walling
  • Inspection pits, chambers, and precast capping beams
  • Heavy-lift crane counterweights & mast ballast
  • Telecommunications bases and bespoke barriers
  • Precast gas tank plinths & specialist foundations
  • Architectural concrete with RECKLI textures or custom finishes
If you don’t see your product on the list, talk to us – we’ll design it with you.

Capability highlights (what sets us apart)

  • Complex geometry, simple installation – curved, faceted, or multi-part assemblies that site teams can install quickly.

  • Precision moulds – consistent quality for multi-unit productions and precise interface control.

  • Finish control – smooth mould finishes or RECKLI patterns suited for architectural applications.

  • Programme certainty – off-site manufacturing reduces weather-related risks and wet trades, keeping your schedule on track.

  • Sustainability – lower-carbon mix options, durable designs, and products that can be reused or easily recycled.

Bespoke Precast Product Features & Specifications

Concrete strength: Usually C50 mix

High-performance mixes ensure structural reliability and a durable service life. Reduced-carbon options are available.

Connection: designed to suit the product

Cast-in plates, threaded inserts, dowels, Halfen channels, or onsite fixing details can be coordinated with your engineer.

Edge detail: square or chamfered

Clean edges for architectural precision. Chamfers help prevent visible chipping during handling and installation.

Concrete finish: smooth mould or textured (RECKLI)

From public-facing architectural finishes to concealed structural surfaces, finishes are tailored to suit the project and environment.

Design life: up to 100 years

Detailing and reinforcement cover are designed for the required exposure class, with whole-life performance and reuse considered from the outset.

Reinforcement cover: minimum 30mm (project-specific)

Cover depth, bar grades, and stainless or galvanised options are specified to meet durability, fire, and exposure requirements.

How we work (a simple, robust process)

  • Consult & brief – outline geometry, loads, interfaces, programme, and finish.
  • Design & analysis – structural calculations, reinforcement detailing, lifting/handling design.
  • Mould & prototype – precision moulds (steel/timber) and sample finishes where needed.
  • Manufacture & QA – Custom concrete mixes, dimensional checks, test certificates, O&M documentation.
  • Delivery & install – cast-in fixings, lifting points, and site support to speed installation.

Case Study Spotlight - University of Warwick Biomedical Building – Modular Staircases & Seating, Delivered Fast

At the University of Warwick’s new Biomedical Research Building, we manufactured 48 bespoke outdoor seating units and a feature staircase under tight access constraints. With ongoing campus activities, we prefabricated precisely moulded modules, utilised CAD optimisation to reduce weights, and completed delivery and installation in just two weeks – all without disrupting lectures or campus safety.

Trusted by Contractors Nationwide

For over 18 years, we’ve helped contractors, engineers, and architects turn complex briefs into simple, buildable precast solutions. We’re straight-talking, reliable, and committed to completing projects correctly – from initial concept to final lift. Off-site production also results in less disruption, reduced waste, and fewer wet trades on site.

Bespoke Precast Questions We Get All The Time

Here’s what contractors, engineers, and site teams typically want to know, and if we’ve missed yours, give us a call on 0115 895 1120 or email the team at [email protected]

Geometry (drawings or models), load cases, exposure class, finish requirements, connection details, lifting/installation strategy, and programme.

Yes, we offer structural analysis, reinforcement detailing, and calculation packs, coordinated with your engineer.

Absolutely. We deliver smooth mould finishes, exposed aggregate, and RECKLI textured faces, along with colour options where specified.

Our precast units are manufactured to the relevant British and European Standards, including BS EN 13369 (Common Rules for Precast Concrete). Typical tolerances are:

Length & width: ± 5 mm for units under 3 m, and ± 10 mm for larger sections

Height/depth: ± 5 mm

Squareness of ends: ± 5 mm across the full depth

Surface finish: small air holes or blemishes are normal and permitted, provided they don’t affect performance

Lifting inserts & fixings: positioned within ± 10 mm of design location

These tolerances ensure that units fit together as designed, while also allowing for the natural variations that occur during casting, curing, and demoulding. If your project requires tighter tolerances (for architectural or fit-out reasons), we can review and adjust the mould and QA process to meet specific requirements.

Yes. We can suggest reduced-carbon mix options and value-engineer elements to use less material without compromising performance.

Lead times depend on complexity and mould fabrication. We’ll confirm a programme with your quote and can sequence deliveries to suit your site.

Yes, we provide CAD drawings and BIM models to streamline coordination and approvals.
