“I was looking to create a wall for dividing a barn storing wheat & barley. The freestanding retaining walls seemed like an ideal solution for this and turned out to be exactly what I wanted! They were good value for money and will allow me to be able to change the position of the wall if needed. I'm very happy with the service from JP Concrete.”

PRESTRESSED CONCRETE PANELS

You can use our concrete panels to build your slurry store. In conjunction with a steel frame, these panels are clipped to the internal face to protect the steels from the slurry. We can supply panels up to lengths of 6096mm, depending on loadings.

For building slurry stores, our customers often find that vertical cantilever panels are the preferable option as they do not require steels. Instead, they are embedded into concrete and tied to floor slabs.

Initially, a foundation trench is dug and steel cradles are set out to support the bottom of the panels for levelling.

When the panels are positioned and supported, they’re tied into the reinforcement and the concrete is poured in to secure the panels. Finally, a concrete floor slab can be poured to create a neat floor to wall joint.

For further details about building slurry stores from our prestressed concrete panels, call us now on 01273 646 450.

PRECAST RETAINING WALLS

Many of our customers use L-shaped retaining wall units to build their slurry stores. These are precast off-site and delivered to you where they can cast into a new concrete floor slab or bolted to a concrete base.

Because of the corrosive nature of slurry, we generally recommend the cast-in units but can provide bolt-down options if required.

These units are suitable for retaining on one or both sides. For more information on loading or to ask us any questions, call us on 01273 646 450.
