Precast Concrete Livestock Panels
Concrete panels have a variety of uses; silage clamps, slurry stores, grain stores, retaining walls, and livestock panels.
Precast concrete livestock panels are used to creating walling in livestock sheds and are sometimes referred to as stock panels. They can range in thickness from 80mm up to 100mm and are prestressed. Standard sizes are 15 foot and 20 foot, however panels are often made to measure. The panels are tongue and groove fitting to allow them to be stacked on top of each other up to the required height.
Stock panels are ideal for livestock housing as they are strong enough to withstand the everyday knocks and bangs from cattle. They are also able to withstand any pressure applied when clearing out muck. Installation of the panels is relatively quick and simple. Once the building is up and the steels are in place, the panels are placed on the front of the steels, and bolts and plates are used to hold them to the steels. Steel corner angles will be required for the corners of the building. Panels can placed inside the webs of the steels however this can make sealing and cleaning the building more tricky.
