Concrete Retaining Wall - Cast In
Also see - Bolt Down Retaining Wall // Freestanding Retaining wall // Heavy Duty Retaining Wall
The cast in retaining wall units are manufactured with reinforcement bar extending from the end of the base of the unit so the units can be cast into a concrete floor slab on site. The advantage of this over other types of retaining wall is that you will achieve a retaining wall structure with no protruding base. This makes them an ideal solution for storage bays and will also create a solid floor, which is ideal for the storage of effluent and aqueous material. Once the units have been cast in there is no additional fixing or support required which makes them an ideal solution if there is no framework in place.
The precast concrete retaining wall units are designed to BS 8110-1:1997 and are manufactured using a concrete mix grade of C40/C50. Standard cover to reinforcement is 30mm, suitable for ‘very severe’ exposure. The units are designed to retain adequately drained material with a density of 18Kn/m³ on one or both sides, and depending on the height of the unit, an additional surcharge can be applied; please ask for specific loading details.
We also supply a bolt down retaining wall unit which is installed by fixing the units onto a reinforced concrete base, using a resin and steel rod anchor system.|
